Social Program

Sitges is a famous beach resort in the south of Barcelona. Sitges has 11 urban sand beaches of very easy access and all services from shower, bars, restaurants,... The average temperatur in May is 17ºC (maximum around 20 ºC and minimum around 13ºC)  and the average rainfall  is 48mm.

Sitges is also half an hour by train from the center of Barcelona. The train runs every half an hour.

In addition, we are preparing two excursions for the afternoon of the 20th of May. Excursions will be paid at the conference desk.

1) Guided tour downtown Barcelona visiting Gaudi buildings, the gothic quarter and the lively Ramblas.

2) Visit the Codorniu winery in the wine region of Penedés. The imposing Codorníu winery buildings in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia were constructed between the end of the 19TH century and the beginning of the 20th (1895-1915). They were declared a Monument of Historical and Artistic Interest in 1976 and represent one of the most outstanding examples of winery architecture designed specifically for the production and ageing of cava.
